3. It makes sense to start with the part of your house that everyone will see first your gates and railing. Wrought iron driveway gates are an ideal way to finish off your drive. You can give your home that wow factor with new iron driveway gates. Driveway gates and fences will enhance the beauty, privacy and security of your home. A driveway gate extends your home security to the boundaries of your property, and in a time where people are increasingly worried about their security adding an iron gate at the driveway entrance has become popular.

At only $149, Minut is by far the most affordable security system I’ve reviewed. That probably has something to do with the fact that it’s only composed of one component. Rather than having different sensors for different purposes, the Point combines everything into one. It can sense motion, glass break, temperature, humidity, light, mold, and noise. It can even turn your regular old smoke or C. O alarms into smart alarms, as it can hear them go off and notify you via the mobile app. Throw in some tamper protection and a built in siren, and you’ve got an entire security system in one convenient package. If you’re not looking to pay a monthly fee for professional monitoring, then abode is a great option that lets you self monitor. Their abode Essentials Starter Kit is pretty minimal, with only a Gateway, a door/ window sensor, a motion sensor, and a key fob plus the abode Cam, which I couldn’t resist adding. Installation is DIY, saving you more money, and abode has pretty good app and customer support ratings. Plus, abode has tons of integrations with Google Assistant, Amazon Echo, Nest, Philips Hue lightbulbs, ecobee, LIFX, Yale, Kwikset, Z wave, First Alert, and IFTTT, so you’ll be able to create home automations galore.

I have seen some fall off the bottom of the list after I had quite a large number on there. It is very easy though to download the clip to your device and store it forever. When it is something I want to keep I just save it then I don’t have to worry about it being erased with time. To be honest most videos you will not have a need to store to your device unless it is something suspicious or you want to be funny and send friends/family videos of themselves! Also just a note that downloading it does not remove it from their cloud, it will still stay and you can continue to download on other devices, etc. Integration'sIFTTT – I have hooked this up with my Nest Protect and Alexa channels. It works exactly as advertised. You can record video, change the color of the LED, and turn on and off the chime with Alexa. Echo – This is a recent addition that I am loving and am using mostly in place of IFTTT. We have a small toddler at home who still takes naps and the ability to ask Alexa to tell SkyBell to turn on quiet mode turn off bell is such a great feature. No more little signs on the front door saying “Baby Sleeping”, just tell Alexa and the doorbell is off while your child sleeps in peace. Love it!Wish list item: Ability to turn on and off motion detection from Alexa! This would be nice for the times you are out working near the porch with plants, etc.
